How to block bots to your blog

You may ask me this question: Why do i need to block bots from my website and what if they are searchbots,won’t my website be indexed if i block them??The answer is that you may block them for the following reasons listed below

Directories in which you store scripts.
Pages under construction
Pages with information for internal use.
Bad bot

How do i block it

You can block it using this two methods listed below.

Put this script written below in your meta tag OF THAT PAGE (This is useful for having to block one to three pages on your site)
Adding a robot.txt file (This is useful if you want to block an entire directory)
User-agent: *
Disallow: /REPLACE WITH YOUR DIRECTORY NAME
The * is to block ALL bots to your directory.If you want to block a particular bot,replace * with the bot’s name.
